Bartu Kaleagasi

Director

Bartu Kaleagasi is a founding Director at the Center for Space Governance. He is currently at Columbia University, studying International Affairs with a full scholarship to do research on space governance. He is also a guest lecturer at the University of Oxford and a Policy Officer at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC). Bartu has a Law degree from University College London, was an intercollegiate in Philosophy of Science at the London School of Economics, and holds an MSc in Technology Management. Previously, he has worked in innovation analysis at the European Space Agency (ESA) and venture capital at Seraphim Space, as well as founded the UCL Space Society and the AIBE Summit – Artificial Intelligence in Business & Ethics. His research focus is on the commercial space economy, space security and weaponization, great power competition, and global governance.
