Director
Bartu Kaleagasi is a founding Director at the Center for Space Governance. He is currently at Columbia University, where he studies International Affairs with a scholarship to do research on the future of space governance. He is also a guest lecturer at Oxford University and an International Strategy Fellow at Schmidt Futures. Bartu has a Law degree from University College London, was an intercollegiate student in Philosophy of Science at the London School of Economics, and holds an MSc in Technology Management. Previously, he has worked in innovation analysis at the European Space Agency (ESA) and venture capital at Seraphim Space, as well as founded the AIBE Summit – Artificial Intelligence in Business & Ethics. His research interests include commercial space policy, sustainable development, emerging technologies, great power competition, and global governance.
